I’m not sure of what tangs I want to get and what tangs would be good together.
The tank is a 5 feet 150 gallon tank.

I will take any suggestions except: Yellow tangs and Gem tangs. Thank you.

Here’s a picture of the tank a week ago. All of the algae is now gone and is in the foxface’s stomach.

My fish stocking list if it helps:

- Foxface
- Starry Blenny
- Pinksquare Anthia
- Percula Clownfish (x2)
- Wyoming White Clownfish
- Melanurus Wrasse
- Exquisite Fairy Wrasse
- Firefish/Fire goby (x2)
- Pj Cardinal (x2)

Tomini or kole tang would be my suggestion I wouldn’t put any of the big ones in a 5 foot tank. Purple tang would be fine as long as you are comfortable with a bully.

One of the online sellers (out of NY, if I recall) is in the middle of it’s $199 Purple Tang sale. I’m sure it will come very small, and you would have to grow it out, but it seems like a good price to me. With the Hawaiian ban, a Yellow Eyed Kole Tang might be hard to come by now— but I have a similar Blue Eyed Kole Tank (Two Spot). He’s in the same 150-gallon as my Purple Tang.

Mine was so small when I got him that I was able to do TTM using 2-gallon fishbowls and moving him every 48-hours. Lol. Now he’s in his Big-Boy tank, but bothers nobody. Not a big open water swimmer though; I’d say a rock to rock stealth fish.
