Hi all.

Does anyone know why my blue tangs would start to pick at my Dogtooth coral. They were all doing fine and this comes as a surprise to me. The coral now doesn't really get a chance to fully open.

Regards
Michael.

Hunger, dietary deficiencies, or just being a 'bad seed'.

A bit off topic but what is a Dogtooth coral? Searched R2R and did a google search and yours is the only mention of Dogtooth. Did see Galaxea is sometimes called Tooth coral, is that it?

Here's a photo of my Dogtooth coral.

Mine used to bite my clams, acans, gsp, cloves and probably some others I didn't catch him biting. He also use to pick up frags and throw them behind the rockwork. Well fed and fat. Think he was just mean. He's no longer in my tank.
