Tang with assumed swim bladder infection

Hey everyone, I have recently been feeding more because I got some new fish and when I was out of town my parents also fed even more than I had been. I say this because I think my tang got a swim bladder infection from too much food. If it is this how can it be treated? If it looks like something else I’d love the input. I’ve had this purple for over a year and would hate for it to pass. It is currently in separate small tank. Let me know if I should be feeding it in the QT (or just let it pass all of the food). I don't see anything wrong with your Purple. Looks like a heathy fish to me, a lot like mine who probably gorged himself as Tangs will. There is some normal posturing with that sailfin at the end of your video.

I would like for that to be the case but it is nonstop trying to avoid floating to the surface if you look closely

Ok understood. It is on hour 16 of no food. It has pooped in the “qt” which is good. I will plan to feed mysis (I hope that’s as good as brine) at the 24 hour mark. Here is the video on Google drive instead:

No mysis. Mysis is high in fat and often presents excess mucus in the stomach lining causing stringy feces and blockage leading to constipation. You want Brine shrimp which acts as a laxative in these circumstances

Per video, may be indeed blockage. If it were bladder, will be up to the fish to release air as there really arent any treatments for that

Ok, I guess lets hope it is blockage. It has now pooped twice in the separate tank (I've done water changes to keep ammonia down) so hopefully it is getting through it. I will grab some brine on the way home from church this afternoon and feed that. Thanks for the help. The purple is still struggling in the same way it was in the video from yesterday, but glad its still fighting

Ok thanks for the info Jay. I'm leaning towards the over feeding, because it has been fed way more food than usual and is an aggressive eater. And now learning that mysis is fatty (and I moved from nori only to feeding 1 cube a day recently) this makes it even more likely.
