Thank you for the kind words....more to come as my obsession grew.

It is fun to see the pictures in a forum like this, as you can see.

Some of those chalices are really nice too. I can see why people like them. I only have 1....it's doing well shaded and pretty low flow...just because it sends out 4" sweepers when I have it anywhere in higher flow.

Well where have i been?

Bad car accident, surgery has set me back so much. Have lost so much but looking to fall to redo whole tank/tanks.

95% of all my coral is dead. Lost 5 year+ colonies and so much $$.

My chalices #'ed in the 150 + range.... i have 25 left. $$$$$$$ lost.

oh well i am alive and doing better. sorry going to be short, but wanted to post where i have been.

thanks to everyone helping me. people helping with tanks, people holding my frags (twinspot you are a blessing...been holding orginal frags for ? long...probably colonies now), people looking to donate me frags later, all is helping me thanks.

will post pics later, but they will be bad, tanks are in bad bad shape with huge dead skeletons...

again glad to still be here.

typing one handed and this little post has exhsusted me.

Man I am sorry to hear that. Sounds like you have some good friends where you are. If you need anything that I have just let me know. I have most of the frags you had. They arent huge but most could be fragged.

Tangdiver, out again. Sorry second accident, in a year and 1 day.
Hello, all quick not from the hospital, wife typing so going short.

Been out of commission for a while. Got in bad accident july 19 of last year.

Getting back to online adventures only weeks away since I could almost type again.

Then july 20 got hit by another person with trama to the same areas. Head, shoulder (maybe sugery again), knees and back.

This time not as bad but still a hospital stent.

Prayers always needed.

Hope my tanks make it. Last time lost over $6000 in chalices and over six 5 gallon buckets of coral all dead.

thanks,

Grant

Back from the dead....trying.

Been a very rough 2.5 years. Over 5 major surgeries, brain damage, and the total loss of all my tanks and systems. BUT, with Gods grace I am still on the right side of the sod. I am alive and ready to start reefing again.

At last count I have lost over $15,000 dollars I spent on coral fragments. That does not cover what the colonies were worth....that would be over 60,000 i figure due to how much some colonies go for or how many frags I could have sold, from these colonies. I lost my favorite hobby and one of the loves of my life. I still have my love in Jesus, my family, and my classic cars, but will rebuild with this.

My big start is coming from a great person, twinspot gobi, (Frank)....I bought some corals from him over 2 years ago and we are getting ready to ship these soon. Talk about an angel, some could say forget you....been too long, also he had a meltdown also with his tank....so I thank the lord for what he is helping me do.

I am donating them all to a local aquarium we (sfaas.org sioux falls area aquarium society), have started in Sioux Falls, SD. So soon we will have lots of nice corals to reseed our large sps and chalice tank. I lost almost all of my corals, but did make a huge donation before all were lost with the help of others moving them for me.

I know this may be all choppy and not wrote very well, we that is the brain damage part showing its face.

will post more later,

back from the brink,
