We had 7 deer in the backyard yesterday. Nice sized 4 point buck chasing the ladies around just outside my shop two days ago! We need someone to thin the herd with a bow or a leash since the are so bold hahaha!
Santa Claus will recruit them soon

I had to go into the hospital today for a spine ablation where they burn nerves around your disks in your back using radio frequency.

On my way home (my wife had to drive) one of my neighbors called to say they ordered dinner for us and it will be delivered.
Then another neighbor is bringing us soup. Another neighbor is also bringing us dinner so I am not sure what we will be having.
But we have the very best and thoughtful neighbors. I can't thank them enough. I love these people :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I feel much better so far but she said it would take about 6 weeks to see if it works. Right now I think I am still filled with the temporary Lidocaine pain killer so I will see tomorrow but so far, so good as I could barely stand, sit or walk.
She burned both sides of 4 disks so she made 8 small holes.

Our neighbors and friends sent us a Pizza. I froze half of it here, chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs, garlic knots and salad. Another friend brought us a pot of chicken soup and garlic broccoli and another brought us a pie and home made apple turnovers.

I absolutely love the people we met here 5 years ago when we moved here. It seems like we know them forever. We are planning a big Pre Christmas dinner for all of them in a week or so.

I don't miss the days when I removed most of my rock to eliminate the sponge. Much of it I put outside in the freezing temperature and it killed it. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Then of course I was inundated with dino"s and now algae. The good news is that it is dying and turning white with not much help from me except sucking much of the dead algae out with my diatom filter.

Of course I had to remove the corals and keep them nice and wet and warm

I removed the bandage on my back today and I have 8 small holes in me where I assume she inserted the soldering iron to burn the nerves in my back. The holes are to small for a propane torch so that is how I assume she did it. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Are you sure she didn't use a Majano Wand? I heard she knows the inventor.

Next week we decided to have a Christmas Party for some of our friends here. They are so good to us and everyone here helps each other.

We figured we would invite about 26 people thinking half would have other plans. Nope!, so far they are all coming. WE will have it catered and hired a girl to help with the food and cleaning up. It should be a blast. :D

Yesterday we put up the tree. (a real one we cut down. Well I give the guy a few bucks and he cuts it down. Those days are gone)

Soon I need to start baking.

It's much better than it was and she said it may take 6 weeks to work. I am very happy so far for the outcome. Now I am going to go to PT for the back and shoulder. I'm still not in bad shape for someone who will be 75 on Christmas day in 2 weeks. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

OK, I found a fish I want. The guy wants $85.00 for it and calls it a Pygmy, spotted filefish. That store is very expensive. Next week I will go to my favorite LFS and hopefully he can get it for me. He will probably charge me about $30 for it.

Algae, Algae, Algae. I have a produce stand in my tank. The fish love it but I am not crazy about it.
After I eradicated the invasive sponge and horrendous dino's, that left me with a Humongous algae farm. There may be lemon trees growing behind my rocks.

No, I don't add silly chemicals or offer up tea leaves to the moon although I haven't tied that. I know, and the fish know that algae is a good thing. The corals are not crazy about it if it covers them but besides that, they appreciate how clean the water will become when it leaves.

At that time, the tank will be as healthy as it can be as the algae will remove everything I don't want in my water.
This probably came about from my NSW behind my home as it was filled with nitrates.

As the algae is starting to die I have to suck it out every couple of days with a diatom (or any canister filter) or it will rot and again become algae.

I remove so much algae each time I do this that I clog my sink.
(old picture with very little algae)

I love the glass bottles. I have stumbled across these bottle hunters on social media and have toyed with the idea of buying a couple old bottles to put into my tank for decoration. Just something you don't normally see. My dad left behind a fair collection of glass as well as some partial science experiment kits from when he was a kit(60s-70s) when they use to allow glass to be in those types of things

Thoughts to Ponder

We will have to see what recipe Randy can make with that lol

I went to my favorite LFS yesterday to show him a picture of this Pygmy Filefish I want.

I hope he can get it. He is also getting some of these Red Waspfish. I already have two of them but they are so cool, that I can use another one.
Heck, I may fill my tank with them. :D

Lets remember that December 7th 1941, 81 years ago today the US was attacked on Pearl Harbor by Japan getting us involved in WW2.

2,335 Americans were killed.

It was also 30 years ago when a gunman on the Long Island Railroad massacred 6 people and wounded 19 on the train. That train was the train right after the train I took every day and the murders happened right near my house.
