I have a chronic condition as well. Sleep is not easy . I wish you the best , and may Jesus be with you.Hello, this is Dale, Paul's wife. Thank you all so much for your good wishes and concerns. Paul has been keeping me updated on all your posts. I truly appreciate all the good wishes and prayers.
Unfortunately, this is a chronic condition for many years and occasionally it rears its ugly head at the most inopportune times, but the well-wishers from people as yourself helps me get through it.
Thanks again, Dale.

Usually antique shops. But you may have to visit many to find one.. I was going to ask what you used for the glass

Last minute panic shopping. We get it here. A couple of years ago people were stocking up on toilet rolls. Some had trolleys full of them and cleared the shelves trying to sell them.on at a profit..We are invited out tonight for dinner, but I want to make Manhattan Clam Chowder tomorrow night. I went to the supermarket for the Chowder stuff, and I forgot that we are supposed to get a huge snowstorm tomorrow into Monday with maybe 50MPH winds. It's a Nor'easter, and they predict 10 to 18" of snow.
Snow doesn't concern me at all, but apparently it scares many people. I got to the supermarket (where the Supermodels shop) and couldn't find a parking place. I parked so far away that I almost had to get an Uber to get to the place.
I finally get a spot and went in. There are no shopping carts. I have never seen this before. Not one except one that the wheels didn't turn.
My wife gave me a list, and I started to shop. They were almost out of plastic bags, so if you want apples, you have to throw them in the cart, or I assume your pockets.
I wonder how crowded it would be if they predicted a meteor strike like what killed the dinosaurs.![]()
Same here. Seems if you havent posted for a day or so it gets annoyed with you and dosen't send you an email alert..Every once in a while, I miss an alert email about this thread and when I realize that, I'm 20 pages behind!!
Happens to the best of us lolEvery once in a while, I miss an alert email about this thread and when I realize that, I'm 20 pages behind!!
I never embellish. I tell it just as it happens.I love the fact you never embellish your stories.

Mike, living on Long Island as you do, you know we lose power many times. I also have a generator, but I start it every few months and change the gas yearly. I throw the generator gas in my car and buy new gas. My car never seems to care that the gas is a year old.I don’t care about the snow or winds… I care about losing power.
Atoll my friend. We have that issue here and not long ago we had Super Storm Sandy where many people were out of power for weeks. I went to my marina and siphoned gas out of my boat because it had 100 gallons of gas in it that I used for my generator. Then I added an addition to my generator so it also runs on house gas.Last minute panic shopping. We get it here. A couple of years ago people were stocking up on toilet rolls.

Mikey, when they predict it, you don't have to be concerned because they are almost always wrong and just predict that stuff to drive everyone crazy. You have to worry when they don't predict it. Not long ago, the weather forecasters added something to help them predict the weather better....A window.lol speaking of…
Turbo, it doesn't matter. This thread has gone so far from fish that 20 pages or 120 pages missed won't make a difference.Every once in a while, I miss an alert email about this thread and when I realize that, I'm 20 pages behind!!
I don't get email alerts from anything, and I like it like that. I come on here and check my thread. If there are no replies, I do something else, like bungee jumping or call random telephone numbers to see if I accidentally call a supermodel who wants to start a reef tank.Same here. I feel like Paul would have been good at writing stories akin to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.I love the fact you never embellish your stories. You are a great story teller!
Its not all underground that's the problemI don’t care about the snow or winds… I care about losing power. Luckily by me it’s all underground but that’s not full proof. 18” is gonna suck to snow blow. I have a generator but I haven’t started it since I replaced the carburetor a few years ago. Hopefully it still runs otherwise my fishies will freeze if we lose power
Do you think anyone knows what they are looking at in the last photo ?I never embellish. I tell it just as it happens.

I can't hook it up like that here, so I have to rely on car gas or petrol, as you Brits call it.
But you could also run up to Buckingham Palace and knock on the door. When the king answers, ask him for some toilet paper.

Then I go to the "New Posts" department and look to see if I see something that I can actually answer without getting into too many arguments, so anything with ich, algae, undergravel filters, DIY skimmers, flukes or immunity is off the table.
Right now I am building another very cool Steam Punk piece in a glass dome. They take a while to build and while I am waiting for the glue or resin to dry, I peruse this forum looking for people who like to call me nuts for my methods.
My wife, Dale probably 15 years ago killing Majano's. She doesn't care about the fish, but likes killing things.
Those lights I had left over from lighting up the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.

You can see me here in the top picture installing them on that building. Below me is snow covered Central Park. It was 17 degrees that day. The bottom picrture I am CAD welding on a NYC garbage incinerator. I am in the white hat

I did notice your lack of welding helmet!!The bottom picrture I am CAD welding on a NYC garbage incinerator
. People always try to stop me when i do a quick weld without one. I couldnt tell if you at least had dark goggles under that white helmet? Sunglasses and a baseball cap on backwards work fine if you close your eyes!
