Thanks I remember that from back when, on one of your posts. I am planning to make a header , and use my Canister filter . It should have lots of O2 , and slow flow. I ordered the plates a short while ago need 4 plates 14 x 11.5 so 4 feeds . If Canister doesn't work there are lots of other ways. Thanks to All. Any other input welcome

This morning we are in the midst of a Nor Easter which is like a hurricane. The winds are 55 MPH and there is lawn furniture flying all over the place. We still have power but the day is young and the lights blinked a few times. It is about 6:30am and pitch dark outside but I am getting ready to go out for my walk. I will put on all my rain gear because we are supposed to get 3" of rain and it is raining so hard now that I may need a canoe.

I want to walk around here to see if anyone lost siding or roofing as I hear a lot of banging outside over the wind noise.
My generator is ready and I have 15 gallons of gas on hand. I also have flashlights in every room.

You can't tell from this picture but there are 55 MPH winds and it is raining. I couldn't get all the way down to the beach because the wind was too strong and the waves were crashing on the steps.

Being on Long Island Sound side of Long Island is a safety net for you. I have family near you that have their boat in a marina. In speaking with them last night, they put slack in mooring lines to allow for rising water.

Hug your significant partner and hang in there. I have been thru the eye of two hurricanes. Once as a child on land and once on a drill ship. Land was a smother ride.

Today looks even worse. The storm picked up but it is still pitch dark outside. I hear things flying all over the place and the wind sounds like a jet engine. Perfect for my walk. I will try to get to the beach but I don't think I can get down the stairs unless I carry a couple of bowling balls to keep me down.

I walked around our community this morning in the rain. So far we didn't get too much damage probably because last year we lost a lot of trees.

This tree is down and two next to it will have to come down as they are leaning over.

This new fence also partially fell down in the wind, but this is right near the 150' bluffs on the Long Island Sound so It is very windy here and the wind is from the North East.

There are also some street signs down and other minor things. I didn't make it to the beach but I assume the ocean is still there.

Sub, Normally that is correct but this is a Nor Easter so the storm is coming from the north east and it is a clear path out over the Atlantic Ocean to France. We are right in it's path. The south shore is getting hammered with storm surge. Our good friend has a house there and the sea came up about 7', right up to her door. I didn't speak to her today so I don't know if it came into her house.

I think the old advice was one tube per twelve inches but I know I only ran two tubes on a 48" x 18". If I remember right it was two plates.

So I received the plates have 4 to cover 48x 18 . So I want to put it all together and test run with no gravel on top. So exactly what is " low " flow. I can always add a valve on the main header with 4 feeds . Will connect the canister put outlet in the middle . Will try a half inch header first. But I don't know needed flow rate
