Tank decoration ideas?

Hello everyone! I’ve had a 30 gallon saltwater tank for about six years but I had to take a break from it until recently and now I’m almost done with the cycling process. I have sand and a lot of LR in my tank but that’s about it. Since the whole tank is tan I was wondering what good options there are to make it more colorful. I’d love to have coral but I’ve never had any before so I’m kinda intimidated about trying to keep them alive and healthy. Should I go with coral or try plants?
