I give my tank 3 small feedings a day. High quality pellets at 11am and 3pm from an auto feeder. And then I do a hand feeding of frozen food at 7pm. I do this 7 days a week. I was wonder if anyone has feeding skip days. If I skip one day a week of feedings, my thought is this get the fish to search for all uneaten food in the tank and keep the tank cleaner. Thoughts/opinions?

Clean up crew will scavenge any leftovers but if you are concerned about leftover food being caught up- you may be over feeding. Feed what they will consume in 1-2 minutes.
It’s easier to add food than to remove it

I skipped occasionally when I was too busy and forgot....
It did not seem to affect the fish much, but I do not have corals.

I feed 2x per day and probably miss 2+ feedings per week randomly just because life happens sometimes. When I skip feedings I also skip whatever I was scheduled to manually dose. I have not seen any negative impacts from this on fish or corals. I would not be comfortable skipping multiple days in a row of feeding my fish. They would probably be fine as they are generally pretty healthy fish. Solid BMI:)

I skip feeding randomly all the time. I have experienced that fish will eat what ever and when ever you throw food at them. Doesn’t necessarily mean they need it or are starving.

I feed everyday with my own mixture of frozen food and then later I place some nori in the holder. Ironically I fed the fish earlier and then informed my wife that I couldn't remember if I put in the nori. I won't worry too much and will wait for tomorrow.

I generally don't skip feedings but if I did then I wouldn't worry!

I feed one rotation on an auto feeder in the AM, then frozen and live phyto in the evening, I skip every friday, only because I work 16 hours. I leave for work before my lights are on and the fish are asleep, and I return from work when my lights are off, and the fish are sleeping.

I will put an extra time and rotation on my auto feeder those days though.
