Hi guys,

I find out my redsea reefer350 is leaking pretty bad 4am in the morning. Basically the silicon is separated at the top part of my tank. I manage drain half of the tank and stop the leaking. Please help if you have similar situations happened before.

What should I right now?
1.Put all my coral to my friend tank for holding
2. Buy any temporary tank hold them over there.
3. Try to buy a Red Sea reefer 350 and install everything back at the same day.

Drain the tank so it doesn’t end up all over the floor. If you have brute cans, Rubbermaid storage totes or an extra tank, use that. If not, you can have your friend hold them. From what I’ve read, the cost to repair these tanks are nearly as much as a new tank so you will have to look at replacement options that suit you.
Good luck and sorry this happened. This is probably a reefers worst fear.

Old thread.

Stop buying red sea tanks would also be an option, seems like they fail often.
