I am planning to build a tank with dimension 30x24x16. Now for the glass cutting I think the measurements for 3/8 inch thickness glass should be as follow,

Bottom = 29 1/4 " x 23 1/4"

Front = 30 " x 16"

Back = 30 " x 16"

2 Sides = 16 " x 23 1/4"

Top Front/Back brace = 29 1/4 " x 2"

Top Sides brace = 23 1/4 " x 2”

So, I need comments and suggestion from all you people who build their own tank if my measurements are fine or do I need to change anything.

Im metric guy, But to give you a rough idea

"30x24x16" LxWxH if glass thickness 1/2 inch used! assuming outer dimensions of finished tank...

Bottom : 29" x 23" - 1 nos.
sides 23" x 16" - 2 nos.
front & back - 30 1/16" x 16" - 2 nos.

braces you can adjust accordingly, there are many ways to do it. It depends on what you choose to do with yours.

Assuming you gonna keep 1/16th gap for silicone, if not or less make adjustments to front length ie. 30 1/16th.
You have to glue all the vertical sides to the edge of the bottom pane, if that makes sense. sides would glue first the front, then other side and then back, if you're doing manual process.

Hope that helps.
