I have a 29 Gallon standard aquarium. It does not have a sump and is filtered by a CPR Bak-Pak Skimmer and a Tidal 55 HOB filter.

The next piece of equipment I would like to add is a UV Sterilizer. Most of the "better" UV filters seem to be large and would work best with a plumbed system. The filter I keep coming back to would be the CoralLife Turbo-Twist UV Sterilizer. I would be looking at getting the 9W model, which is rated for tanks up to 125 gallons.

First question, has anyone had experiences with this UV filter? What is your feedback? Does anyone recommend another UV filter?

What are the options for mounting this on the back of my tank? My current thought is to mount to the back of my stand, run a line from a pump to the filter, and an exit line from the filter back to the tank. Seems too simple... What are your thoughts on installation of a UV filter on a sumpless system?

I like the idea of attaching the UV to the back of the stand.
