Has anyone planned their tank from one fish and worked backwards. For example I plan a 130 gallon peninsula type aquarium and a biota goldflake or Regal Angel , possibly one anemone , pair of clowns etc. How would one research from this point ,type of corals , rock work for aesthetic but more importantly hiding places for each chosen fish , how many fish and types of fish . Then introduce each fish according to its aggression or it’s ability to live with other species ?

Nope. I planned my tank out then crammed as many fish into it as I could.
Any thoughts on a regal or gold flake ? And other fish that would be great to consider ? My vote leopard wrasse , clowns and smaller fish

Lots of small fish in a big tank looks amazing. There's a lot of little guys that will be great with a big angel.

I’ve heard angels tend to like eating fleshy LPS corals, so I’d guess you’d want to avoid those.

Hopefully someone will be able to help with the rest of your questions here.
