What a horrible story police should interrogate or maybe connect other acts like this in other houses

You need to talk to the dip weeds that were in your house. Nothing should be filed on your home owners insurance. We were having a water heater installed and the plumbers messed up some drywall and the company fix it free of charge. The people in your house were bounded and there insurance should be paying for all that was lost.

Same sorta thing happened to me when I was your age, except it was my sister and friend. It was fingernail polish. I think most of these instances are jealousy. My skimmer actually got the most of it out but I still lost a lot on the same budget.Makes you wonder about some people.20 years later I'm still at it without even a moment of not having a tank set up.Good luck!

Picked up a used bio cube today from a local, only one light works, and the LEDs are burnt out. The rest works great. I'm deciding between setting this up as a frag tank to hold coral until my display is back up, or creating another small reef. I'm trading some used equipment for a pair of clowns Tomorrow.

These would hold the frags of I decide to make it a frag tank.

Steve's LEDs makes a retrofit kit for your tank. I bought them for my 12g Nanocube and love them!

Those look very nice. A little out of my price range at the moment though lol. I want to put LEDs in this tank, and have been looking at reef radiance.

They're supposed to be great too. Good luck!

I've heard of lots of people that are having repairs in their home and drywall dust gets into the water column and kills the tank. If Ithought, as you said, this was intentional I'd file a police report. Also thepeople who were in your house should be bonded. Seems like this could behandled under the homeowners insurance.

I'm a father of 4 and have a 17 yr old son and a 14 yr old daughter at home so I know kids. I have read this thread from start to finish and I must say your intelligence and more importantly, your maturity and your self determination shines through on every post you write. You are on your way to being a very good and successful man as you are acting like a man through this terrible incident which you or your tank did not deserve. It's nice to see you are focusing on rolling up your sleeves and moving forward immediately without leaning on others and not focusing on what happened, name calling, not trying to use misfortune as a stepping stone to gain, whining and complaining etc. you got it figured out early my man and God will bless you for this and through this. What an example for all of us. I'm proud of you and don't even know you!
What more do you still need in terms of getting the new tank up and cycling. Not only in the tank but hardware etc?

Mani am so sorry! Maybe I can send you a couple frags to get you back in your feet. Definitely file a police report. Man... This kind of stuff makes me want to put a lock on my tank somehow! Who would do such a terrible thing? I know if I lost my tank I'd be out almost 2k. I, like you, worked many summers and odd jobs I hated to pay for my addiction. I hope this incident doesn't ruin your ambition!

Thank you,
My parents raised me by showing that if you want something you have to earn it. No exceptions. Thank you for offering equipment, but I am not taking anything from anyone, I appreciate everyone's offers but I can not make my burdens theirs. I would feel guilty even taking a filter pad. Once again thank you for the kind words.

people are wanting to give you things because of your great attitude, I dont feel that you havent earned it because they know you are the type of person that would do the same. Id accept the things .That way if this happens to someone else you would be able to pass it on. This is a hobby that you have to give and receive. Hope everything goes well.
