How concerned should I be about this? The silicone seal is discolored and brown now. No idea what would cause this, I haven't added any new chemicals or equipment.

I used my finger nail and a guitar pick and the silicone does not move or peel, no algae or rips under it.

It's a 60g lowboy, tank has been up for two years. I dose reef roids once a week and silicate 3 times a week. Normal alk and cal dosing for a reef tank.

I did notice that this spot is the same size and area I sometimes leave my glass cleaner sit. Could that have caused it?

Did you ever figure out why? I have the same problem and it’s where I leave my glass cleaner at too. Is it a concern that the seal will break?

Did either of you figure out why or experience leaks? I’m witnessing the same thing happen to mine.
