Hello everyone!
So Im thinking about building a new tank.
My thought was to design it focusing in the light source that I want.
I currently have radion xr15 g5 pro , but I will be getting a hybrid T5 fixture mixed with my radion (Still not sure if I should go 36 inch or 48 inch long).
What dimensions would you suggest me to make it so it fits perfect with the light source?

I was thinking about going 36 or 48 inch long (depending on the one I choose) - 22 inch high and 24 inch wide
Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks a lot!! ;)

Maximize your length and depth (front to back)

Height stay at 24in max high. Any deeper makes it hard for maintenance without putting your arm up to the shoulder in the water. 30in water depth has zero advantages to coral and fish but makes the Owner walk around in a wet tshirt on maintenance days

Ok! Then I will go with 24 as for the height.
Should I stick to the lenght and wide size of the lamp fixture ? Or should I go longer and wider than it?
Im not gonna have a top cover, so I dont know if smaller light fixture than the aquarium would look weird

I personally would go wider tank than fixture, but it also does kind of depend on the fixture. In my experience though most t5 reflectors are going to have pretty significant spread; though i am not nearly as familiar with ones that have come out in last few years.

Are you sticking with 1 xr15, or adding another?

The spread on those is about 18+ inches.

Since this upgrade will be worth too much $$ for me, Im gonna keep just the one I have until I earn a couple more bucks to get the second one.

So now Im for sure going with the 36" one.
Wide and tall will be 24" both.
Not sure If I should go 36" long, or 40" long.
