I got a marineland reef ready tank and. Matching marineland stand. When I shims the tank do I just want to do the. Corners or also the front and back of the stand? When I level it. Where it's going I can only do the corners and front of the stand. Unless if u remove the bottom and modify it a little. Suggestions please. I don't have the time to build my own stand until spring.

I’m not so sure that exactly “where” you put the shims is as important as making sure they stay in place. So I’d use a long level, from to back to back and side to side; shin as needed. Then fill the tank a few inches and readjust the shims if necessary. Once the tank is at least 1/2 full it should stay level— even if on carpet (which is not ideal).

I can tell you that on my diy stand I just shimmed between the corner of the stand and the floor. I did not go along the front putting shims in.
I suspect my stand is much more rigid than a marineland stand, so I'm not sure if my experience relates though.
