That looks like bryopsis. Be careful when you pull it out. It is like aptasia in the sense that it multiplies when you mess with it. Pieces come off and attach in other parts of your tank.

Use Kent Tech M to raise your magnesium up until the bryopsis turns whitish. When it turns whitish, pull it out as it is dying/dead.
You have to use this specific product as there's metals in it that kill the bryopsis.

I had a bad feeling this was no good. I had it on a frag plug and peroxide dip seems to have worked for it the rest is on 2 rocks that I can easily pull out should I try that? Ill look up the Mag raise also thank you!!!

I would research to make sure that's what it is. If you can remove the pieces completely, that would save you alot of headache. I would not put them back in though.

after a few weeks adding API algae fix marine with not much aid in the algae war I decided tonight to dip a BUNCH of rocks/frags (well only about 7 frags and 2 small rocks) picked clean as much algae as I could take, and got a bigger bucket to make my WC water in. hopefully I can get this algae in check.

Just posting for my reference or anyone else with an algae issue to use as a timeline.

I have a few nice sized accidental frags available for trade or sale I can name a price of anyone is interested.
The red and white in the second pic a type of fire and ice.

The blue and orange center with green skirt with speckles in the pic with the rock anemone.

A Rastas piece with a bunch of heads.

A few more I'll look around to be sure tho.

So just a update. After covering all of the ugly palys/zoas 2 separate times and I mean covered them things all of them with the pumps off for a about 30 mins. They are relentless and just keep perking back up in a day or two.

Anyone have any ideas on how to kill these things without harming my other zoas near by. Sadly they are mixing in the rock work with my "good" zoas.

You could try a little kalk squirted in the center like aptaisia but be careful of it neighbors.
