Btw what salt mix did you use for the new water ? That could be it . I changed salt mix from ReefCrystals to Red Sea blue bucket. ReefCrystals will jack your alkalinity way up . Blue bucket has similar parameters as my aquarium.

I was using instant ocean with great results. Then I switched over to reef crystals. I will be going back to instant ocean.

Did you take water sample to LFS and also verify salinity?

Instant ocean and ReefCrystals both will jack up alkalinity, especially during a large water change. I went through myself. I got this chart here at R2R . If you add a lot of new water mixed at say 13 DKH and dilute nutrients with the same water change. In a sps tank = problems .
ReefCrystals has availability and a professional looking label . Parameters not so good for sps .

You have to let the tank run for a bit before transfer everything over even though you are using 100% of the old stuffs. I remember one of my friends who was in a hobby for awhile he did the same thing and he lost quit a lot of corals. When I did mine, I took my time and lost only one coral and no fish deaths.

Ok reef2reef I think I might have hit rock bottom tonight. I replaced a lost Matt v rainbow envy about two weeks ago. Tonight after work I come home to look in the tank and my new. Matt v rainbow envy frag is dead. Since this upgrade I lost a few thousand dollars worth of frags. I really don’t know what to do at this point. I lost colonies that I’ve had for over two years and also some very high end frags.
I spent a lot of money on this upgrade and lost a bunch in frags and colonies. What would you do at this point. I had to leave the room cause I didn’t want to do anything drastic like just unplugging everything and just letting it all die.
should I get rid of everything and get all new rock and start over?

I will be going away for a few days. I have a feeling when I get back everything will be algae covered skeleton.

What would cause the flesh of acros to just peel off?
Flesh prel off:
Light burns
Too much alk or Nag
RTN
TOO MUCH FLOW

Try switching to moderate light and water flow, adding aminos but reducing alk and mag for a few days and see what happens,
ONE STRONG POSSIBILITY THAT I SUFFERED:
Take a water sample ASAP to a trusted LFS and have them test your salinity. You may have higher salinity than your gage indicates. You have nothing to lose by having it verified
