I'm trying to figure out the survival rate of the animals they dump into the tanks like minutes after it's up and running

Haven't ever watched the show other than clips occasionally. I believe I saw a thread on R2R recently about the show being cancelled?

TV has ruined the minds of their viewers with shows liked “Tanked.” I’d rather watch Gomer Pile reruns; now that was a great program. I can clearly hear the shows Theme song in my head as I type this.

I think it gave a lot of false notions about saltwater tanks. not to mention who wants a fake insert when you can grow your own. I only watched it to learn more about fish species.

On today’s episode: the 1st ever reef tank I’ve seen them do. Every other tank had fake plastic rockwork w little to no regard for the fish and their desire to hide. Today. Once again, I was disappointed. They filled a tank w sand, live rock, and water, then, over the course of 2 days, piled in all the corals and fish.
They really should do a follow up a mth later so we can see survival rates

They dont tell you that most of their clients also have pros service their tanks ,they never touch them after they are set up, Noone sees how much work and time goes into these tanks

Although the show did get cancelled, they are already in the process of making a new one called “Life of the Fish and Famous”. I believe it will be on YouTube. I know they’ve already been planning on doing a tank with Steve Aoki for that.

I can't think of one hobby that I have that has caused me to enjoy a reality show. Cars, home repair/renovating, fish... The reality TV doesn't much about the hobby, just the (usually obnoxious, self-important) people involved. Same with tanked.
