Greetings,

What is the Ideal temperature that you guys keep the temperature of your reef tank ?

My tank is maintained at 75 - 77 F and i have a LPS dominated reef..

Thank You

@ 79 w/ SPS dominant tank.

what is the ideal temperature ?

there are 100's of articles on net which says all different things...

I have my heater set at 78 but it never turns on....lol. All my equipment keep the tank at a nice 79-80

soo now the reasons ??

why at 78-79 and not lower ?

I had a heater and chiller to keep mine at 78. The coral were all happy there but it depends really. I would say that temp stability should be the most important thing.

Most tropical reefs are @ 79-80. Some even higher but like ESVreefer said, stability is the key!
