I’d say it really depends on the size, and if it is aquacultured or at least been in a tank for a while. I had one that was 2.5 inches when open for $75 and the color was good. Green and yellow.

Those look nice! And no they aren’t really. Just make sure you have an established tank with nutrients and they will do well. Mine liked more low light

I bought a tequila sunrise mushroom from marine farmers for $79 a few months ago; although looks like he doesn’t have any listed on his website at the moment. It’s doing fine so far and was my first mushroom. It doesn’t seem too difficult and looks nice. It’s about 2-3” when fully expanded and green/yellow with nice fluorescence under blue lighting. It also looks good under white lighting too. My water quality is on the dirtier side, and I’ve had some algae/dino problems. The mushroom wasn’t impacted at all.

That pic isn’t accurate. They are nice. I like them a lot But they don’t look like that in person

This is @BryanM colony and this is more realistic

It’s more or less the market price. “Worth it” is very subjective and completely depends on the buyers budget. Some people pay $1000 for things and they would say it’s a good deal and someone else would say the same purchase was a ripoff. If you like it and can afford it then sure it’s “worth it”.

$100 is the high end for one. It would have to be like a 4” monster to be worth 100 to me.

This aqua farm has a ton for 60 and even with the sh its still less

They turn green in low par

Yeah I have it on the bottom of the tank tucked away in the back corner. Probably getting 50 PAR. An urchin just picked it up and wearing as a hat. So I guess it’ll be in higher PAR soon. 🤪

Also some of the pigments look similar to Rasta zoas that you can see in the bottom of the picture. And those are gorgeous zoas.

One Of my favorite all time zoas. I see the pigment you mentioned. One of mine is picking up hints of red in those lashes. Cool stuff!
