Hi all so there was a thread a few months ago around bristle worms and what gets rid of them someone suggested zombi snails and I chimed in and said I would test this one out

So did a clean of tank today and set the scene have not fed my zombi snails with other tank inmates for a while so they are definitely hungry

Placed a small bristle worm in the sump with the snails and boom they ate it live so I can confirm they do eat bristles dependant on the size

They left the big worm alone but the small one was eaten

Without trying to discredit anything you've seen, I'll just say this:
Even if nassarius (or any) snail eats bristleworms, it'd be tough for the snails to get at worms in the rock work.
*polychaete worms tend to dwell in holes/nooks/crannies that most predators aren't adept at dealing with

Agreed the snail only began eating the worm when the it was out in the open

Well, if you're feeding the tank so little that the nassarius snails are killing live animals, I doubt you'll have much of a bristleworm problem...
