Hello all!
After lurking on this forum since middle school, I've recently decided to make an account and finally begin posting... I'm only 7 years late on that! ;Shamefullyembarrased

I was hoping to take advantage of BRS's sale and get a testing kit.
I plan to test for Calc, Alk, and and Mg.
However, now I'm a bit torn between the three brands that they have on sale.
The three brands are: Hanna Checkers, Red Sea, and Salifert.
I was curious about everyone's preference and whether they find one or the other to be easier to test or more accurate.

Thank you all!

Hanna for alk and phosphate (ulr phosphorus checker)

Salifert for calcium and magnesium. Red sea is ok for calcium as well. But I just prefer salifert.
Thank you!
I will be placing my order soon... :)

Agreed! The Salifert Mg test is so much easier than Red Sea.

The Red Sea Mg drives me crazy. The Salifert Mg is fine. The Red Sea and Salifert ALK are both good. I get slightly different results with them. On Ca, I have only used Red Sea.

Thank you all for your help!
It seems that Salifert and Hanna are the better choices based on most opinions. I ended up getting the Hanna checker for Alk and Salifert for Calc and Mg. :)

@Sabellafella thank you for the warm welcome! :)

I would also recommend a hanna to check phosphate. Be careful which one you buy though, they make 3 different models that check phosphate.
