I haven't looked at this piece in quite a while, I wasn't even sure if it had been growing or not. Pulled it out of the main display(no I haven't cleaned the glass in quite a while) and this is what I have!!!

Looks better than ever and has been growing :) So one more time, THANKS JASON!

i got a frag on the same day, and have had no where near that growth.

regardless, it is an amazing piece and def sticks out in any reef tank!

I'd like to know lighting and placement too. I just picked up a piece yesterday, and would love for it to grow like that.

For the first few months ive had it under weak metal halide lighting. Now it's in a tad more light under all blue T5's and I think it has picked up its growth. I try not to look too often but I believe it's firmly onto the larger disk nw :)

Basically I'm treating it like a chalice and it likes it.

Your thoughts Jason?

Thats exactly right todd, treat it like a chalice. Im having luck in low flow under a couple of actinic + t5s. There is no question its a hot coral

I have def got better growth once placing it lower flow and lighting. Also, once it finished growing vertically, it really took off as far spreading it out on the plug.

This is one of the hottest corals and will become a classic for sure. It's nice that I never experienced or heard any one else say it lost color or was hard to keep. All around a great specimen for any collector.
