I figured I'd battle my insomnia by sharing my current setup. Though Ive kept bigger and smaller tanks, I really like the size of the 40breeder; enough size to experiment, but not so big that you need a log book to keep track of all the **** you end up buying for it :squigglemouth:
That being said Im still having a very hard time not buying one of the various 75gal tanks i see put up on craigslist every now and again :xd:

anyways, the tank (started nov 09):

Very nice. I love that big rbta with the clowns! They always put me in a good mood in my personal tank. Great job!

Looking great! Awesome tank.....I've always like 40 breeders as tank setups. Could you share some details on the lighting setup?

Awesome man.. how long have you had the flashing tile?

ehhh...2 months...ish? Not too long, but he's lasted a lot longer than I thought he would. I figured he'd be carpet surfing in under a week, cause i dont have a lid, but so far so good. Its annoying though, he's found a small cave that gets good flow through it and is impossible to see in, so now he doesn't even need to come out to feed, the mysis float to him :squigglemouth:

as for the question about the LED fixture, I couldnt give you too much info, I had it built for me. It has 120 1w LEDs, 78 white and 42 royal blue, a standard alluminum heat sink, and three cooling fans that pull air from above it and push it out the sides. The LEDs are about 1/2in apart from each other and I believe they have a 40 degree angle, though it may be 60
