The Church Reef

Hi everyone! I’ve been in the hobby for 18 years and thought I’d share my current personal aquarium. More about the tank:

90 gallon all-glass aquarium with a custom made by me stand. Bashsea smart series sump. Deltec SC1455 Skimmer. Skimz Zeovit reactor. Vectra S2 return pump. Aqua UV 40 watt sterilizer. 2 x Radion xr15 g5 blue (soon to be 4). 2 MP40s for flow. Geo 6x24 calcium reactor with a versa for feed pump.

Tank inhabitants currently are purple tang, mimic tang, orange side fairy wrasse, hooded fairy wrasse, bipartus leopard wrasse.

You may be wondering why I called this the Church Reef. This is because me and my fiancé actually live in an old Church of Christ in small town Iowa.

Outside of aquariums, I breed, train and compete with German shepherd. I also enjoy woodworking.

Some more information about our house: It was originally built in 1897 as a Church of Christ and in the early 2000s the previous owner bought it and turned it into a house. It has a heated/cooled garage building that I use for training dogs and as a woodworking shop.

Here's a picture of some of the dogs!

I also have a 90 gallon freshwater tropheus tank (it's hard to get good photos of it with the lighting on it). I built this stand out of old doors that were left from the church.
