Do you think it would be possibly to remove the wall between the drains and refugium area, to make a larger refugium? They specifically mention Triton method but that calls for a fuge to be 10% of total system volume and it looks small as is.
It is possible to remove the wall between drain and refugium but i believe the black tray that comes with the sump is for macro

Like you said it is rather small and i have not decided if i will turn it into a fugue section. Knock on wood, my nutrients are ok at the moment

Love the tank.

I want to get the peninsula tank but was bummed when they weren’t on sale for the new version.

How the tank going?
its been coming along. im actually alot further down the road. ive had a few issues that i will post up soon.

ill post my lighting setup now.

i bought a XR30 Blue with the shade and a 3d printed shade because the tank is pretty much next to the dining table.

i have hooked it up to the RMS mount on each sides of the tank where Cade have the cut outs for the arms.

i have also added my old AI Hydra 64 with 3d printed shade.
It looks really strange with the two different types of lights together but you can really tell that the XR30s out perform the 64s with spread and glow/intensity? if that makes sense

there is no native/off the shelf AI Hydra 64 mount for the RMS rail which sucks but Brett from Eastwood Aquarium was able to 3d print the sliding mount for me. what a legend!

How did you get the top crate off? Was it a pain to have them stacked?

3 of us had to strip the wood off and then suction cup it off. It’s dang heavy :(

It looks like it was transported that way on the truck.

I’m not sure if it came from china like that

not much of an update as such but i thought i would clean my old tank and maybe repurpose.

when i went to clean it i just touched the retaining wall and it cracked.. devastated but that just means i can maybe get the reef x expansion. it plumbs into the cade system. ive seen a few local guys using it as a frag system or a nem tank
