Here in Southern Ontario it's been in the high 30's for weeks - super gross. That means my AC has been on for weeks, and we have 6 people in the house plus pets regularly.

Cue my tank's pH slowly trending downward, with my carbon dioxide scrubber almost instantly overwhelmed in a few days.

So I had one last option up my sleeve - the air exchanger. It's something you're really supposed to leave off in the summer, as it becomes much less efficient when the outside air is humid and hot, but the results don't lie:

You can see the exact moment on the 4th of August when I turned it on. Now I'm consistently between 8.3 and 8.5 pH, and not sweating my balls off by still having the AC on. I have my cake and I ate it too.

This is very useful information, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! I was running our fresh air exchanger along with the AC then stopped as my electric bill really shot up.

Kinda a catch 22
