I thought it would be fun for everyone to share their funny stories about their anemones. I will go first.

First time.
I had a Rock flower and a Maxi mini in a 13.5g tank. I was playing with the lights which caused the Maxi mini to find a new home. It moved over my Zoa garden then around it then through a tiny hole the size of a dime. Eventually ending up on the other side of the tank.

Second time.
I have 2 rock flowers and a Maxi mini carpet anemone in a 15g cube. When I added the anemones one rock flower found its home next to my Zoa garden. The other rock flower tried to settle next to the Maxi mini. This didn't go well. The rock flower would move away and the Maxi mini would move closer. This went on for a couple of days. Eventually the rock flower moves closer to the other rock flower. Finally I think it's going to settle. Then all of a sudden I can't find my rock flower. I'm moving sand around and nothing. Then all of a sudden I spot it halfway under a rock. I clear the sand out and it still sits there today. It seems fine I can see the oral disk and tentacles.

Please if you have any funny stories about your anemones will you share them?

My first impression of an anemone was when I was a small child, and the huge magnifica (I believe it was) in our tank had demolished my horseshoe crab while I was at school. Half of it was in the anemone's mouth, and the other half was floating around the tank. It wasn't funny, but my reaction sure was. I was traumatized! I promised myself I would NEVER allow another evil anemone in my tank!

Now, my BTA is the crowning glory of my reef. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

My large green carpet anemone swallowed my tuxedo sea urchin whole, after the sea urchin fell off the side panel on to the anemone. In about 30 minutes the anemone expelled the urchin intact.
There was absolutely nothing I could do about, so I just hoped for the best. There's probably a thread here somewhere with images.
