The last pie is out of the oven, and with that, I am done for the night. I only made three this year, foregoing the cherry and pecan, since we won't have a large crowd. From left to right: coconut custard, apple, and pumpkin. Not my best work, but they'll taste great, and that's what matters.

Oaxacan cuisine is way underappreciated IMO. Their culinary tradition is no less rich or complex than the French.

But they didn't have Escoffier to write it all down.

Unattended children will be given espresso and a free puppy.

Mine won't know what to do with them. He may pet the puppy in time, the espresso would get spilled.

Much appreciated, but if there's one US holiday I want you to celebrate with me, it's the 4th of July. Lol.

I had some Brittish friends over for a BBQ on the 4th a few years back, and took a sadistic pleasure in making them sing, "Happy Birthday America".
