Yes. I was playing around with the background film for the Serene lighting. Not sure I like the film I got. The kit's film won't fit the tank and you can't order it by itself.

I did decide to cut the film off to allow for viewing into the overflow from behind the tank.

If you mean from behind so you can see in it - definitely. You will one day want to look in there. I left both of mine unpainted from behind on the 140.Do y'all agree the overflow section should be left unfrosted?
