It's almost overwhelming combining existing rock with planning the scape. What corals where? What height? What plays well together?

Not every structure will be glued together. Some things will have to be stacked. Pretty sure I'll have to break apart one rock in my existing tank.

Try drilling it in the areas you want it to break before breaking it, create weak spot to cause it to break where you want it to. Still may not be perfect breaks but may be closer to what you want.

I have mixed feelings about it. It has the same feeling as an 80's rock band making a comeback tour by adding a young lead guitarist. It may be better to let the memory be savored rather than risk tainting it with a poor attempt at a money grab. We will see how it goes!

That's a great idea. I tried using the chisel and NOPE.

Only time I use a chisel on rocks is when I just need chunks and don't care how they break. No control on how they break with a chisel.

More tank milestones, the new clean up crew arrived today from Reef Cleaners to join the survivors, and the loaner PAR meter also arrived to take the guess work out of my settings.

I'm still walking on eggshells given the devastation the first round of dinos did, and then the scare a few weeks ago when they relapsed, But this crew along with the pods, bacteria, phyto, cheato, new test kits, TDS meter for the rodi etc are one strong team to help me this time around.

Tonight's FTS, ... and to think I was hours away from unplugging it all a few months ago.

I have a rubble. tons of rubble. I'm like a convict in a prison dumping the stuff in the flower beds when no one is looking from all the rock that didn't break the way I wanted.
