What do y'all think about an iridescent/frosted bubble design?
I am having a difficult time visualizing the whole lighted background scheme. I am a straightforward black or blue guy. Obviously you have given this a lot of thought and I trust your judgment. I just don't think I will be much help in this department. I am in learning mode territory about all of this. Josh is also right about keeping the light out of the overflow, so I would say whatever cover in that area be removable, somehow.

No opinions?

I am a fan of blending the overflow with the background as much as possible and no way do I want to see inside the overflow while normal viewing of the tank. I recall this is a peninsula? If so, that's going to make it hard to inspect the inside from the back, but a top down view with a flashlight with the flow off would do.

If you were doing anything to the back glass, I would carry that over to the over flow (ie, being able to see inside the overflow from the back). If not, then I think frosting would let light in and agree with the others about being problematic, but that would mean getting a scraper that would fit and add cleaning the inside to you maintenance, I do think aside from matching the background the frosted would look nice

This is the way I did the back of my 140. Of course, I can walk behind the tank, so it was very helpful - especially for seeing jumpers that ended up in the overflow.

I think Katina's tank has a cover for the overflow. I had returns coming out of the top of mine and never covered it. I only had a few jumpers through the years.

I ordered food, treats, toys, float coat life jacket, matching harness, leash and collar for Burke last night.
Officially ready for dog dad duties!!
