@Fin . Yes, last day of May, make things happen!

Got the gear set up and heading to the beach today with the surf rods to chase down the stripers and blues. I let the spring run pass by even though I had the night parking passes and the night access wasn't closed down. High tide is 3:37pm. I like to fish the 3 hours prior and 3 hours after the slack high. I convinced a good friend to make the hike with me, as it takes about 45 min to an hour walking along the beach to reach the inlet.

Hopefully the fishing parking lot isn't going to be closed due to capacity.

This is what I was doing last spring from the beach:

Nice catch! I need to find a fishing buddy down here. I haven't been in years.

I think this is the biggest fish I ever caught (flounder) and it was on a plastic toy rod & reel (the kind you catch magnetic fish with) from T.G. & Y. in 1960. I was 5. LOL!

A friend was out fishing in the Gulf yesterday and he was rubbing it in with posting pics of this beauty of a Red Snapper (21 pounds) on Facebook. That's a 120 qt Igloo that thing is in.

Remember the chat from a few days ago about if you directly replace a fish or not, my leopard jumped a few weeks back so I about to buy a yellow wrasse, utility fish.
I went to my lfs today and saw this Timor wrasse and fell in love instantly.
This is 15 minutes after it swam out of the bag directly above the deepest part of my sandbed, just in case!
It is already hunting and not a single fish even displayed at it! :)
Oh and Poto. ;)

Due to shipping costs, don't even ask how I am going to sneak this into the States, Najer's good fortune palys will be $10,000 a head! ;)

We do know a young pilot in training who would like a stab at some hours for transportation! Long hop across the pond though. My ex-brother in law did the transatlantic in a Cessna 172 solo. Some northern route with Greenland and some island(s) for refuel. Then he flew around Europe. Retired Air Force dentist and just wanted the adventure I guess.
