friends swear it's a nem. I've been told it was a recordia yuma. It started like yours.

Good luck! I had a filefish that ate all of my aiptasia and then started in on my zoanthids. You can't trust anyone anymore. :p

I've owned two. Had one that was a model citizen in my 40 breeder. Only thing it went after was my Xenia which at the time was a starter frag so fish had to go. Current one is a captive raised one from Pacific East Aquaculture who sourced from BIOTA. This little fella while doing the job well eats everything including the kitchen sink. No zoa is safe (sadly my coral beauty and scopas tang eat them anyway), clams (destroyed both blue and gold maximas), duncan, and now my hammer.

It manages the pest(s) well enough although I see a few larger ones that outsmart it by hiding during the same and only coming out at night. At this point I just accept the collateral damage and loss while keeping everything else in check.

I see a copperband coming once the pandemic reduces the stress on shipping since I no longer have clams. That or I just roll with what I have and add different corals.
