Does everyone think that the new app will help a younger generation start to interact on this forum? I definitely do.

Yes. I was just thinking/noticing last night how many new members have recently joined and are using the App. I rely mostly on my computers, but I think there's a whole group - not necessarily only younger - but a whole group of people that do absolutely everything on their phones. I think the app is going to go a long way to getting new members to join R2R and to participate on the forum since it's so convenient for them now.

Yes and no.
I don't think it'll bring the "younger" generation into the reef world. I think it'll bring those glued to their phones more to the conversation. The app itself is a great starting point, but it doesn't flow naturally. It's not treated like an actual forum app that makes it easier to move from one section to another. They made great strives in beta, but it's still easier to download the home screen from Chrome on your phone and use the forums that way.
The landing page on the app is not clean cut. It's just a scroll, and it brings you to the most posts/responses and you kinda just mindlessly scroll down. If you were able to edit the app layout to that users preference, like moving Categories to the front, so people can choose which subsection to jump into from the beginning would be best. Overwhelming most recent posts doesn't help anyone new coming. The way to also make a post once you figure out how to do it on the app is overly basic and dull, viewing it as someone from a 'younger' generation. You also are limited on how you can post on the forums via the app, vs the chrome home download or just using your computer.
I know the app is still just a baby and they'll be working on it moving forward, but right now I'd rather be able to still use my computer to respond. It's just overall easier.
