The Plop and Drop Method to Reefing

(1) add live rock. Marinate for a few days
(2) toss in fish and coral
(3) find a chair and grab a beer
You can skip part two of #1 if you have good live rock. I’ve done 99% new water, rinse the sand and everything back together with fish in QT for four hours only.

Pretty much it. I haven't tested during cycling in decades, and I've cycled a lot of tanks. It's common sense. Dead shrimp cycling...bacteria in a bottle...drinking lysol for covid-19...same thing :)

I also don't acclimate corals and add SPS to new tanks without a problem.

in my experience most shortcuts work until they don’t work!
