Had a little bit of sunshine today.

See, even mother nature gets bubble algae.

Not sure what was going on on top of this coral head. I can identify a bluehead wrasse, a yellow head wrasse, a parrot fish, a blue reef chromis and two other fish I can't ID.

Nice! The last octopus I had the pleasure of meeting was on a night dive in Bonaire.

It's my experience that a lot of reefers are also divers. Let's use this thread as place to share our love for diving, pictures from our dives, gear recommendations and reviews of great places to dive!

Here's a few pictures from my most recent trip to Little Cayman.

Looks aswome! My wife and I are not certified for diving. We did go to Jamaica and snorkeled 2-3 times each day. We also did the Snuba and that was great! Just walking around the tide pools was enough for me.

A few clips from today. Some interesting dominance behavior in the first part of the clip. I love the Scrawled Cowfish toward the end that changes colors. As you can see the current was rippin' today.

I have been diving all week in Cozumel, but today's rain storm is so bad there there no way anyone was going diving. Thinking to my dives thus far this week I have been amazed about how much of the "aquascape" is occupied by sponges. Some of the most colorful parts of the reef from massive Orange finger sponges, Green sponges, light purple barrel sponge, darker purple sponge, crazy yellow and green sponge tubes. Too bad these are so hard to keep in a confined system. I have had them in my previous tanks from live rock but the usual encrusters. i will see if I can upload some pictures of how much of the scape is sponge focused. i will also say this explains why the French Angelfish are so huge here. They must snack on sponge all day.

Hopefully the rain will ease up tonight and I will be back to diving tomorrow.
