I think filefish are one of the coolest looking fish of all time. I couldn't believe my luck when I caught one once. He did great in my FOWLR.

I had one for about 6 month only got him to eat aptasia but he never ate any only ate frozen I fed the tank and nipped at my acans so I gave him away for free to some poor sucker who probably flushed him

I was thinking about getting one. Is it reef safe. I have some SPS
So far, so good. I think that these come from an area where sea grass is more the norm, not reefs - so maybe they just don't know coral taste so good. Also being captive ORA bred may help. Mine does latch onto my gorgonian at night to sleep. no damage, just holds on.
I have heard the Aptasia eating and Radiated may be more prone to nipping.
Why don't you set him up in a QT type tank test? Have fun!
