The Walking Dead is back

Well anyone catch the new episode on tonight ? Did you like it ? It went kinda slow for me but I know they are just setting the stage for things to come and from I hear its going to be getting crazy from here on..I think either Rick or Hershel will be getting the axe just a feeling ..who do you think is next to be killed off?

I watched it and I agree pretty slow start but like you said probaly gunna get crazy from here on! I think Hershel will go but not rick because I think there will be a couple more seasons atleast and I don't think that could happen without rick lol

yeah but these writers like to do that exact thing the opposite of what we anticipate and thinking they could and let daryl take over . Never know but look forward to see how these next three episodes play out ...

Me and my wife are still catching up. We got on the Walking Dead train a little late. We just finished season 2. We are starting the third season tonight! I am DVRing the fourth as we catch up. Hopefully I'll be able to talk it in another week or so. We watch a lot of episodes a night so hopefully I'll be caught up by Sunday night.

I burned through season one and two last year right before season 3 came out. Season 1 was great, and I made it through 2. Season 3 was bleh, do I couldn't even make it through five episodes.

Why do they have to be so dumb?

I love it. I think its very well written. I dont think fast or slow is a way to judge episodes. The action is merely a means to attract a larger fan base and zombies are really just a plot progression. The true theme is morality and I love seeing hoe these characters change nd mold as the show goes on. Great show.

One thing I noticed in season 3 is that the show's producers apparently don't know anything about firearms... Rick's kid in the guard tower using a handgun to pick off walkers at 40 yards while at the same time Rick is on the ground using a high powered rifle with a scope to kill walkers at 5-10 feet. Also, where are all the 22 cal. weapons? Seems to me they would be the most effective and plentiful rounds around for killing zombies.... Whole show/premis is stupid but I can't stop watching;)

According to the World War Z book (not the movie) the .22 is one of the more effective zombie killing firearms.

Lightweight, low recoil, readily available ammo, and the round just kind of rattles around inside the zombie head instead of passing through. :)

I read the comic books. The show doesn't follow the books very closely but still gets the majority of the content from the books.

The books are up to #115. There is a lot of material for many more seasons. If Rick dies this season they would be throwing away a lot of potential episodes. ;) I could guess on the next big character death but it's difficult even if you have read all the books. The governor should be dead by now.
