Uggh like I said before things happen. Turns out my Whole tank is tempered glass so we can’t drill it. Now I have to return overflow box and get the one I originally ordered back. Amazon is gonna love me. Sets me back a week. O well. But at least it will be rightSo excited my new overflow box came in today now just have to go to Motortrendz place for him to drill it and I’ll be almost ready for water

Its stinks that the tank is tempered all the way around. I tested all the panels with a cell phone and polarized glasses. I was amazed when all 5 panels were tempered. The bottom had the tempered sticker. But it's been a long time since I've seen a tank completely tempered. Ugh. Sorry bud. I feel.bad you bought an overflow to just have to send it back!

We started the sump last night, 20 gallon long with a filter sock chamber skimmer chamber a refugium and the return.
Did some early morning research and found that the marineland 56g column tank is only tempered on the bottom, so I prepped the back of the tank and started to drill for the 3/4" bulkhead. Went though nice and clean. Installed the bulkhead and touched up the black paint I had to remove to install the bulkhead properly.
So now were just waiting on the overflow box to get here to drill that and dry fit all the plumbing.

Well that was an easy hundred bucks only three blocks away and first person to ring (I did not wrestle smoke to much nowadays) did my promo and left basically because I started realizing how much I miss the attention and signing autographs taking selfie’s with fans the whole thing. Made hairs on back of neck tingle. And that’s that grabed my money and said goodbye before got talked into doing a match. Enough of that stuff time for tank update

Ok here goes,, we left off with overflow box issues and miss information ( hint hint mike) but soon realized all was good from the start. So I went to Motortrendz place and brought my cabinet with me so we could put everything together so we could have proper distance for pvc pipes, Mike had already had the refugium assembled when I pulled up. First thing we did was set up to drill hole for overflow box, the one hole took about ten minutes to do( god bless mikes patience and Skills) and all went smoothly. I probably would have been in rush and broke glass, that’s y Mike made me stand ten feet away lol. So after that we put tank on stand and mike took all measurements and made list of all pvc parts he needed and sent me to Home Depot ( could tell u story of that adventure but would be a whole new thread). I can hear u laughing mike. Well after 2 trips I got everything needed and the mad scientist went to work. He made it so simple n full proof safe. Can’t say thank u enough to him, he’s a humble guy,, So anyway we put all together with refugium in place and it was Beautiful. We loaded it up in my truck and off I went. Now it is sitting in the room it’s gonna stay in I just have to move 20 gallon tank and stand to different place for little while and new setup is going in its place Well that’s where we end for today. The next step after I analy clean everything is water. I plan on getting 16 5gal buckets of water from the ocean and begin filtering and warming it up ( I have all 16 buckets with lids) the next time I go out which looks like Monday. And that’s that for now. Next is a bunch of pics and I hope they post in order

Then assemble every thing and slide into new home ready for water. ( I’m so excited). I’m going offshore today at 4pm to set nets then get 16 five gallon buckets of beautiful ocean water
