My LFS has Cleaner Wrasse for $14.99 right now.

Lucky... got mine for 30. They're stupidly cheap animals for whatever reason.
They need to eat a lot.

I was lucky, I got a tank break down one for almost half the price of a brand new one who was also eating, I don’t regret the tank break down one at all as he feeds like no tomorrow, vacuuming up any left overs and cleaning my foxface, angels and tang happily.

Now if only mine will eat pellets without spitting them out.... that would be the peak of optimal. Cleaner wrasses lose a significant amount of their difficulty when they start feeding, the other half is to keep them well - fed.

Absolutely, although keeping him well fed isn’t a hard task as he eats everything that hits the water (pellets, flake, mysis, brine, cyclops, algae, muscle, cockle etc).

It’s stupid how cheap they are. I wish they’d be left in the ocean honestly.

Bet my wrasse was a biota one that my lfs forgot was a biota and sold as a normal cleaner... there's also a whole bunch of tiny beat - up looking cleaners that look way too rough to be captive bred but mine looked nothing like them.

Aquarium Center called to let me know they got a Radiant in. I can pop in tomorrow evening or Wednesday and snap some pics and see how it looks if you'd like.
I'm off on Wednesday.

Samething happened to me the weekend before. I placed it in the cart and was the first to ask for a deal on it. The dad changes the price and I went to pay and it was gone.

So my leopard melagris that I bought 3 days ago finally came out to say hello today :)

Excuse the crappy phone pics - she was very shy and wouldn't come to the front of the tank so they were the best I could get.

She was only out for about 5 hours but I'm guessing is now back in the sand - is that normal for the first day that they come out?

Completely normal. They are a fairly skiddish fish when first introduced, but become more and more bold as they get used to your tank.

As they get used to your time zone, and lighting schedule, you will see it out more.

Yes I was so excited when it came out today - I was preparing myself for a week so was very happy after a couple of days! :)

That is Anampses lennardii which is a more temperate species from what I remember.

Hard to get even halfway decent pics of them with the shop lights on the tank instead of good lighting, but the Broomtail wrasse and Hardwick's wrasse are both loving the 8' system! Look at those bellies :)
