Just got my first wrasse it’s a juvenile Queen Cori’s haven’t got any other pictures than this though because he’s still hiding in my sand bed.

Those are my favourite flasher wrasse ever, the shimmery blue on their sides is just so beautiful.
They're (almost) the sole reason I'm upgrading my tank soon.

Would they get killed by a dusky wrasse? I've got one and it chases around my cleaner pretty often, but I'm deciding on the last fish to add to my tank before I add all the stuff my mum likes, and I'm trying to pick between a bristletooth tang, longnose butterfly, copperband, high - hat or one of these. They aren't very expensive fish.

So I just found a tiny reef near my hotel during the tiny bit of time I had off today. Saw two species of wrasse not including the big parrotfish. A green one with thick red stripes. It was about 7” and the stripes on the back were broken up. The second was either green or green with a blue head but had a big dash of orange right behind the head.

Turns out that waking up at 4:30am was worth it! He was asleep and almost totally unaware of anything near. Fingers crossed I’ve caught the beast and my Diamond Tail is allowed to swim once again. Also, yes he is being traded in today.

Actually the ID was easy, Thalassoma trilobatum and Thalassoma duperrey

Just googled both and they look great. First is kind of like a brighter Xmas wrasse, no?

I was way off, I thought one could’ve possibly been a Coris venusta.

So I’m moving soon and terrified of moving my tank but hoping it goes smooth, came on this thread to ask all the experts for any help on moving the wrasses. (Or anything for moving the tank lol) I know they get stressed out very easily and sometimes don’t make it in the move, hoping that isn’t the case. Any help is appreciated! It’s only about 15 mins down the road so not too far at all

It is! I love Coris venusta as they’re just such a colourful species and don’t seem as aggressive as other Coris Wrasses can be.
Let’s just hope Hawaii allow us to see some of their wrasses in our tanks again.

I just looked these up, they're stunning. I almost regret looking them up as there's not much chance we'll see them in our tanks again.

The females are just gorgeous, they’re that beautiful orange and red colour. If only they were available from an island near Hawaii like the Chrycosephalus is said to be (although even then, these aren’t available still).

Went on my first Hawaiian scuba dive and found Coris gaimard!! At all life stages and holly **** are the males and older females incredible. So beautiful!!

Full wrasse count was Hawaiian cleaners, sunset Thalassoma, those ugly ones I can’t remember the name of, Coris gaimard, sixline, that one that looks like a mystery but boring.

And a **** ton of parrot fish.
