I did triton. They received it yesterday. Trying not to lose my 2 scoli, acantho, and cynarina. Lost half of my echinata, blasto, indo gold torch. LFS (marine chemist) says that algae can suck up metals and other nasties over time. Then when you nuke it with fluconazole….

Oh that's horrible. Were you trying to nuke GHA or bryopsis?

Yes. Zero gha and bryopsis now.

Have done several. Calcium was off the charts probably due to coralin taking a hit. High calcium, no efficienct calcification in the corals. Another big water change today.

Flux does take care of the bryopsis and GHA quickly (not so quick for Valonia), but I usually do a quasi-rip clean before running it to remove as much as possible before starting. Then air stones + PNS Probio and/or Fiji Mud dosing. Who knows what that junk is releasing when it goes all white and "disappears".

I thought it was fine. I went through one bottle while running Flux Rx for Valonia. Mostly to add some bacteria in case the flux made a dent in the current bacterial population (unexpected, but who knows). My problem is low nitrates, so I didn't see benefits in nutrient management, but corals seemed OK with it and I think it would be a good supplement if you run a "cleaner" system. My system has so much different food going in all the time that I don't think it's necessary on a regular basis for my tank.

I haven't tried it in combination with PNS Yellow Snow, which I understand works well for water clarity and feeding corals, partly because I don't have a skimmer to skim out the excess yellow snow.

My fault for not doing a water change after the first week ss everything looked good. Just did another flux dose and watched. Crap hit the fan several weeks later and now green cyano up the wazoo

I'm waiting on a pink streak and a C. rubeus! They're harder to find, and I specifically want juvenile females so I can track their transitions.

That’s it young females. Get to watch transition and they will live longer. Only way to go with wrasse in my eyes. That said I have females then come home to a male. Most of mine transition fast while others seem to take time

I see a lot of overpriced terminal males, but fairies aren't long-lived, so who knows how long those males are going to live before dying of old age. I'd rather get young fish that can live a good 3-4 years at least, in the tank.
