You guys has experiences with the Pseudocoris wrasses. How big do they get and how well do they do in aquarium. Looks like they re really build for speed. do we see speed injury related in aquarium with this Genus?

I've had my almost 6" male P.yamashiroi for almost 4 months now. For the first 2 weeks he was always under the sand and only out for an hour or so, and would only eat the tiniest pieces of mysis. Now he's one of the first up and last to go to bed, eats all frozen food and smashes all kinds of pellets. I wouldn't say they're built for speed really. They swim in much the same way as Thalassoma, by flapping their pectoral fins, and they never stop moving but aren't racing around the tank like bird wrasse do.

He's been doing really well, not aggressive and also resistant to aggression. None of my 3 thalassomas or bird wrasse ever bothers him, but he gives them a wide berth at feeding time. He won't hesitate to steal food straight from my tangs or angels mouths either, and sometimes he will forcefully take it from a smaller wrasse, but thats the only aggression he has. Very nice fish which is noticeably purple.

My sand bed varies, I have a few 3” ish deep areas and also a big area in the front where the bottom glass is visible.

If I decide to go with a Halichoeres I’ll probably add an extra bag of sand around and behind the rocks.

Haven’t given much thought to Leopards as I’ve always read they’re pretty difficult to keep, but not against one at all.

The nice thing about both the chrysus and leucoxanthus is thst they are not aggressive and handle being pushed around as the new guy (gal) really well.

Looking for suggestions on what I could house in my nuvo 50, 30Lx24Wx16H. As far as other wrasse, I currently only have a a Possum.

I'm looking to add a flasher and a fairy. My question is, is my tank able to comfortably house these both?

As for specific species, I was thinking mccosker or carpenters for flashers and brunneus or pintail for fairys. I originally wanted a leopard wrasse, but I don't think it would be wise as I currently have a Mandarin goby who doesn't eat frozen.

It's actually only a 30" by 24", but I do have a sand bed.

2-3" approximately. What would you recommend?

Added a Bells Flasher wrasse and a Pintail Fairy male today. Idk if my blue throat or rosy scales are happy about it. Here’s hoping they make it through the night

How did the rosy scales take to the pintail?

I have the same situation. I ordered an Exquisite Wrasse and was sent an extra one. Both of them seem to be males. They've been in the tank for about 10 days now. The 1st week together, the bigger one would constantly chase the smaller one. The last few days, I haven't seen any chasing. However, the big one just does a short dash towards the small one and leaves.

Is that a pintail middle right?
