Is consider holding off and looking for a female and just let it change. Pacific Island Aquatics seems to be getting them regularly. I picked up a pair of females from them a little while ago and one has started to turn.

specifically melenurus, melegris, bipartitus, and ornatus wrasses.

The moyeri/kuiteri/Vivienne complex can be bossy with other leopards, but is rarer and more desirable than the species listed. It should also be fine with multiple leopards, especially if they are established.

I have wanted a lineatus for a long time. He is in the acclimation box now with my Fiji exquisitus. There should have been an H. chrysus, too, but Blue Zoo didn't send it. I don't know why, but I have an email out to them.

The solorensis is definitely eyeing them, but doesn't seem to be attacking the box. Anything special I should be looking out for, in terms of aggression, before letting them loose? I was planning on giving them a day or two in the box to acclimate.

It might depend on where you are. Shipping to Nebraska from California may have bypassed all of the hurricane problems.

Thanks. After about an hour, he seems to be completely ignoring the acclimation box all together. How long should I keep them in the box if there is seemingly no aggression? I was thinking at least over night just to be safe.

I put this guy Timor Wrasse “Hemiulis” timorensis in my acclimation box last night. No fish had any interest with the Timor in the box. I had to leave the tank for a few hours and wouldn't you know the box came loose and fell into the tank and the Timor came out of the box it took me a few hours to find him and a few of my wrasse found him as well my Earmuff wrasse Halichoeres xanti and my Redtail Tarmarin Wrasse Anampses chrysocephalus. They both chased the Timor the red tail a little the Earmuff chased the Timor fairly aggressively. The Earmuff is twice the size of the Timor.
Any ideas to ease aggression?

I have a new C. isoscoles and it has a red "saddle" just in front of his dorsal fin. Is this normal coloration for these guys. The young male I had in the past didn't have this.

I LOVE my wrasses! FINALLY got my male leopard wrasse. I previously list 3 in shipping. This is my last try. I love them all too much to loose anymore. This guy is PERFECT! But i cant get him to eat[emoji21]ive offered all i have. Next is direct feed fresh...something, but i know when i do that all my other fish will "mob" it and scare the crap out of him. Any ideas?

Your wrasses....to me!

It is a high bioload. In the end it is a personal choice. I thought mine was high. If you could get your green algae jamming in your refugium your nitrates could be controlled by 10 gallon water change weekly, but thats alot of work. Bio-control with that bioload is temperamental without a heavy refugium algae
