Absolutely!
I love the eyes on 3 of my wrasses in particular; the Diamond Tail, Gold Nugget and Jade. The way they look is incredible.

Is that the pink-streaked wrasse? I suppose they are out of the question if I've already got a six line. But they really are peaceful and can be kept in groups?

pink streaks are incredibly peaceful, as for keeping in groups I’d say the maximum size of group you want to go is 3-4. This species is found in pairs or small groups naturally so anything more than 3-4 may wind up with aggression and separation.

It’s not recommended for anyone new to wrasses to pair these - I had a testing trio but one eventually died (she didn’t do too well to start with) and the female of the remaining pair died during a crash.
As for why it’s not recommended is because when you see them brought in, generally they’re quite large and already males, whereas if you can get them as tiny juveniles it works out much better.
Here was the trio (I plan to try and get atleast one more if not two more to replace the trio). As you can see, they had a lack of colour and were miniscule. This is the ideal way to get these fish when pairing, but it’s not always easy.

I would never mix those two
They are far too closely related

Like slocke said. Also I wouldn’t mix any reef safe wrasse with a six line

Ah, got my hopes up. Guess I'll keep them in mind if the sixline I have now doesn't work out.

If any of you guys that have gotten Brunneus recently, would you mind sharing some pictures when you happen to get some?

I’m curious to see what they look like in home aquariums, but there isn’t too many photos online compared to other species.

was told med/large. From this guy that means extra large lol. Thankfully I got this one the way I like them. Small and BUG EYED! 6 hours late but happy and swimming in bag. Swam from my hand instantly right over to magma. Now it’s being chased by magma but happy without a care. Was shipped across the world. Put in a holding tank and reshaped from west coast to east the next day. Resilient. Little wrasse
This is one reason to buy small wrasse!!

The wrasses have begun a very strange sleeping schedule. Presumably they are up and out of the sand at 7am when the lights start coming on. But lately they've been eating at their 1pm feeding, and then the Halichoeres chrysus goes to sleep. Sometime between 1pm and 3pm, the M. bipartitus goes to sleep. I previously had the autofeeders set to go off at 7am, 10am, 1pm and 4pm, but they are both missing the last feeding. No idea why--I don't think they are being spooked into the sand.

Anyone else have their sand sleepers acting this way?
