So I have been searched the forum for a perfect hospital tank for leopard wrasses.

The reason is that one of my older fish (what I could understand it) got ich and I’m not on my way to go fallow with my main display.
So I’m looking for advice to keep the fish happy in my hospital tank for up to 90 days (or more). My set up now is hob filter with cycled media (foam) a couple of pipes and some quarts sand (read that it doesn’t absorb copper) a heater, one air stone and a small powerhead for some more circulation. I also made a lid off some offcuts from my DT lid. The tank is a 80 liter and going to house 3 leopard wrasses 1 yellow watchman and 2 fire fish. All the fish looks fat and healthy and the only reason I want to do this is to eliminate all the possibility for ich in my DT. Most likely got the ich form some inverts I introduced before the summer started and honestly didn’t know about QT on inverts….

i cant think

Get a large tub of sand and put it into the tank, those fish don’t do well without sand at all.

I do have sand :) about 3 inches on a deeper glastray
Looks good to me. I used regular fiji sand. It really does not absorb much. Als use the Hana Cu checker. Might want to put a few tall plastic aquarium plants in. Creats a litlle more hiding so they don’t feel like they are on top of each other.

I must get one. Hard to keep?
Exceptionally easy once you get them alive and eating in your tank. They have a poor survival rate before getting into your tank due to shipping stress/injury.

Thanks a lot I’ll get my hana checker today so starting everything tonight and getting ready for some long moths with empty DT. I’ll look in to some plastic plants to fill it all up.

I do love circle to search. I dislike a lot of the AI features they are shoving at us but that one is surprisingly useful

Yes, Google isn't turning up much except LA anthias labeled as wrasses!

I'll have to ask the scientific name, because this could be anything.

I use CopperPower and has worked well gor warsses. Keep a closer eye on them week 3 and 4. I lost a magma that didn’t tolerate copper beyond 4 weeks

Yeah i was wondering how long I should keep them in the copper, I have read everything form 14 days up to 30. Unfortunately I can get Copper Power around here so I had to go for the seachem one. But I know these fish will tolerate it since to store I bought them from uses it for their in store qt.

Well, I guess wrasse Wednesday has begun for some people so… am I early?
Some of the species I have or had in the last 4 years. And no, I still don’t have a favourite species! Plus, this only touches maybe half of what I’ve had altogether for wrasses. I do however have two I would have again in a moderately boisterous wrasse gang, the melanomarginatus and chloropterosaurus.
