Though I don't buy from LA they generally are correct in their research. Unfortunately wrasse have multiple life stages with different patterns so getting a solid ID is not easy.Would you guys mind confirming identification on this wrasse? Anybody have any husbandry info about it?

I don't so much question their ID as wanted to know if anyone knows the behavior of this particular Halichoeres. They pick at corals or inverts type info.Though I don't buy from LA they generally are correct in their research. @i cant think is probably the only one better then me at ID.
Prices are higher then competitors, customer support is meh, health of received fish is meh. I've liked their divers den but otherwise its just not worth it for me.Thank you! Do you not buy from them because you don't like them?
They appear to be a larger species of Halichoeresand those may eat shrimp and are usually more aggressive then the <5” speciesI don't so much question their ID as wanted to know if anyone knows the behavior of this particular Halichoeres. They pick at corals or inverts type info.
I appreciate you taking the time to reply!
I received two Diver's Den fish in a styrofoam bag instead of an insulated box. There were cold packs inside since it was summer. Both fish froze to death. From the looks of the water, they had been dead for a while before I received them even though it was an overnight shipment. Water was already brown and cloudy.Prices are higher then competitors, customer support is meh, health of received fish is meh. I've liked their divers den but otherwise its just not worth it for me.
That is crazy! I got mine from DD, it was in a Styrofoam bag as well. Just glad they survived!!I received two Diver's Den fish in a styrofoam bag instead of an insulated box. I assume they died from temperature shock when they were locked in the box sitting directly on ice packs with no insulation between the water and the ice except the plastic bag.
Customer service was great, I just don't trust their shipping after that.
To me, it’s more like a Coris dorsomacula rather than a Halichoeres pictus.Would you guys mind confirming identification on this wrasse? Anybody have any husbandry info about it?

Oh boy. Okay, thank you! Off to do some research. To me, it’s more like a Coris dorsomacula rather than a Halichoeres pictus.
My worry is the other way around. Tusks can be cowards. However they are very distantly related so should be fineI have established Dusky and Earmuff Wrasses in my 220 gal that have both been there for about a year. Would love to add an Australian Harlequin Tuskfish. I know all fish have different personalities, but what are the odds that the Tusk is going to tolerate the other two wrasses as he matures?

Yes... What kind are you wanting?Hi again...I"m back for some additional advice. I have a 65g tank that is coming up on a year old (Red Sea 300 G2). I am wondering if I could possibly get 1 more. I have one wrasse and would love to get another if possible as they are just so fun to watch. I love mine! Here is my current livestock list:
2 Wide bar gladiators
1 Leopard Wrasse Blue Star female
1 Midas Blenny
1 Flame Angel
1 Royal Gramma
1 Diamond Goby
1 Long nose hawk
Everyone gets along perfectly right now (after trading in the dottyback for a royal gramma). I don't want to upset the apple cart.
Thanks for any and all advice. Here's a pic of the tank for reference...I tried to get them all in the pic but it's hard. They are little beggers and think they are getting fed lol.![]()
I"m open to suggestions....something that would go with the rest of the tank mates. Would love another colorful wrasse.Yes... What kind are you wanting?
Oh I would love a Fairy wrasse...just wasn't sure if it would be compatible.Another sand sleeper or a Flasher/Fairy?
